Pros

Good benefits, free and discounted eyewear for associates friends and family. Love working with our stores crew they are great.

Cons

Raises if one is given are a huge joke people working at fast food get same or better raises just for showing up lol. You can be responsible for weather your store is a million dollar store or not by selling over a quarter million dollars and receive a raise less than .50 cents. Upper management above store level just looks at store numbers and cares not how economy is effecting buisiness or the multiple competitors that show up two and three at a time each year. There is little or no chance of advancement without giving your life to the company because at $0.50 raise it will take u 20 years to get close to what your worth.

Pros

The team is composed of kind and well-meaning individuals. Opportunities to meet some great people in the industry.

Cons

The work environment is fear-driven, with a rigid hierarchy that fosters bullying rather than collaboration. Management employs a condescending style, making it difficult to feel valued or respected. Decisions lack clarity or rationale, creating a sense of confusion and unease that borders on a cult-like atmosphere. Titles are thrown around without real substance or accountability, making it hard to take leadership seriously. Overall, the culture feels unsafe and misaligned with the dignity and professionalism required to succeed in recruiting.

Pros

My manager was good. She was upbeat, fought for us.

Cons

Why would a sales associate also have to clean the bathrooms? You get paid one extra dollar - ONE DOLLAR - to be a key holder which means you open and close, count the drawer, make change, train, go to the bank, run reports, clean the store, take our the trash, answer phones, train new hires, do the daily incoming manifest, set up display boards, handle shipments incoming and outgoing, resolve complex eye exam issues, work w the doctors, restock, do inventory several times a year, AND CLEAN THE NASTY BATHROOMS. They are so cheap that they don’t even hire a co to handle cleaning. For a whopping 16.00 an hour we are responsible for all of that. And on top of it all, turn over is a big issue because of it, and when we’re short staffed, they don’t care. They don’t send anyone in to help. We’re just expected to handle it. We sometimes don’t even take lunch and work through lunch to help customers. The district and area managers only care about numbers. You can have your family call in sick w Covid or some serious issue and the big manager doesn’t care.
