      Pros

      Job is simple and easy once trained properly from the optician side. For retail hours are pretty good.

      Cons

      Chaotic, try to be organized and orderly but the workflow office set-up does not contribute to this. Each store needs more associates, phones are crazy, pulled in too many different directions. Poor systems and technology.

      Pros

      This company really values its people and their feedback. It is a fun and dynamic place to work that is constantly evolving and growing. Internal promotions are a big focus and good work is rewarded.

      Cons

      As it is a retail organization, there are fewer observed holidays so you have to use your PTO to take holidays off. That being said the PTO plans are decent after the first year.

      Pros

      If you want to work someplace where you feel important, this is a great place for you. It is encouraged to promote from within and it isn’t rare to meet people in upper management that started at the store level. The commitment from the CEO to communicate openly with the organization is amazing. The brand mission of helping people is truly what is expected of every associate, pretty simple if you like to be helpful.

      Cons

      Biggest downside in my market is the preconceived notion perpetuated by our competition that the products on offer are somehow substandard because the prices are so much lower than other optical retailers.
