Pros

Good pay and nice time off

Cons

The company gives no recognition to agency employees. This is not the way the company used to be handled prior to it changing hands.

Pros

Financially solid. Pension plan Comfortable physical enviornment Education reimbursement program

Cons

Currently doownsizing. Salaries on the low side, not competative. Poor health and vacation benefits plan. Benefits costs somewhat high for plans offered. High turnover. High workload. Preach work life balance but not really supported through benefits and workload. Extremely political, who you know, not how you did or what you know. Constant change, antiquated computer systems, business plan always changing, no stability.

Pros

Good place to learn, but only if you take charge of your own learning plan because no one else cares in spite of what they say. Good benefits, especially for retail. Also, good pay if you can stomach the "cons" and many people do, which might not be a good thing. Nationwide is a great name, but may be losing brand equity to companies that have the ability to evolve and execute. Company has a great value statement, but senior management needs to practice what they spew.

Cons

Innovation is slow for things that do need to be changed. Lot's of changes for things that aren't broken. Direction changes regularly based on the political winds of the day. Leaders are stuck managing most of their energy on protecting their job and territory. Expenses are out of control, which drives higher loss ratios and uncompetitive rates for the NSA product. Technology is stuck in the 80's and in spite of huge budgets cannot seem to develop a solid platform.
