Pros

Its a big company and there are alot of opportunities to grow if you are in the right office. Upper management is extremely knowledgable great to look up to. Each office is different and of course there are office politics involved but if you do it right, you'll move up fast and make a very decent income. They have locations all over the country so if you want to relocate you will always have that opportunity. They send you to training classes in other states which can be a fun and great experience! Their systems are pretty up to date and modern so easy to use.

Cons

The office I work in is unfair and bias. 90% of the employees in my office came from the same company so there seems to be a "cult" following. As long as you don't work in the Orange, CA office you can do well. If you work in the THI-Titan line of business it can be difficult due to the number of fraudulent insureds. Client base is the lower middle class so they can be difficult to work with, sometimes not being able to get ahold of them, get cooperation from, or they lie to you alot and it is sometimes difficult to tell who and honest client is.

Pros

Salary and compensation package are comparatively good. If you like the huge company atmosphere, I guess it's got that. Generally work/life balance issues aren't a problem.

Cons

Morale is low. No one communicates meaningfully with anyone (although frequently pointless meetings and mountains of irrelevant emails are a mainstay), and everyone's got an angle they're working. Senior leadership often doesn't talk to their own direct reports. Direction shifts on a whim. Few decisions are made based on common sense. Nearly all decisions are over analyzed and under executed (analysis paralysis). No one faces reality when a bad decision is made -- they just jump to a new project instead. Almost no one understands their impact on the customer, and frequently people fight to protect their little piece of the world, oblivious to whether they're helping or hurting customers by doing so. Almost no one sees the forest for the trees, or even tries to. Leadership tends to be either heavy handed and top down, or almost non-existant -- very little happy medium to be found anywhere. Innovation is often sacrificed on the altar of "conformity and consistency", even though senior leadership speaks of "innovation, innovation, innovation" all the time.

Pros

The company is nationally recognized, so it looks good on a resume. Having worked in the department where I work, I will have at least gained enough knowledge to take to another workplace and I would likely be better able to handle certain situations which would arise that other employees from other companies would not have exerienced.

Cons

Uncertainty about how my position will hold up against all of the changes taking place. Lack of communication from immediate management when changes are taking place, and lack of ability to get concrete feedback about those changes and how they will effect the associates.
