It was a great company..

Pros

Some great products and colleagues

Cons

When the investors arrived in 2017, there was initial excitement, but it became evident that they had bought into the company as a talking piece for their dinner parties with friends. There have been numerous errors in execution, best illustrated by the hiring of 3 new C-Level execs in 2019 - a product officer who didn't understand the products, a people officer who wasn't a people person and a marketing officer who lived off their previous employment. The fact that all 3 left after a year suggests that those who hired them may have made more mistakes... The recent acquisition suggests that the company is now in a cycle of bringing investors on, attempting to grow, cutting costs (chiefly by firing staff) and selling on - eventually someone is going to be left with an expensive hangover.

Not a good work environment

Pros

Flexy hours, great people are employed here

Cons

There is constant change in the company set up, strategy, planning, etc. A very disruptive work environment with little to no career growth, unless you are a white male.
