Pros
Benefits and flexibility are incredible. There are a lot of opportunities to find a job you enjoy once you get your foot in the door. The shipyard does a fantastic job of investing in its employees through training, course reimbursement, etc. Surrounding area is beautiful.
Cons
Some days it can be hard to find job satisfaction. It's a government job so good performance isn't necessarily recognized as much as years of service, but they do the best they can. Traffic getting on and off the shipyard is terrible. Everyone knows this but no one seems willing to fix it.
