      Endless bureaucracy - everything is slow-rolled Subject to Federal budget uncertainties continually Communicating a common corporate vision alongside concrete plans is almost never achieved Shifting focus and reactionary management is completely unsatisfactory, but so far, no one has been able to change the culture

      Pros

      Work at your own pace. Good work-life balance, especially working 9-9s in a pay period (every other Friday off. Great benefits, Good growth potential. Skills acquired on Active Duty are invaluable. Easy to move around within NAVSEA if you want to. Teleworking more than in person.

      Cons

      Too much diversity push in mid-level engineer hiring. Many can barely speak English, and we have little to nothing in common. Work can either be very rewarding on MDAPs or a total waste of time when a lack of funding cancels a program.
