Pros

- Great product - makes sense and is genuinely helpful for finance / traveling teams when it fits. - There are some people left that care and want you to do well -Great product learning bootcamp sessions - Ariel (CEO) has a great vision and this company is going somewhere

Cons

In my personal experience as a SDR there are a few issues about TripActions you should be worried about before taking this position. TripActions has a very obvious culture of burning through talent - firing or forcing sdrs out within 3-8 months. For example - one office lost 8 out of their 9 sdrs within a 3 month period. All of these people did not make it a year. This issue also exists in other departments but i'll try not to speak on departments I did not personally work in. The pay is truly under market value for a company of TA's size and getting OTE is not as common as you would think. Past ramp only a few 2-3 out of each segment actually hit goal. Expect to make less money than what they are telling you. Additionally, expect it to be more likely that you will leave TripActions rather than get an AE promotion. The people who actually make it internally to an AE position are far and few between and almost entirely from this past year when promotions worked much differently. You will be micromanaged on heavy dials / check ins with very little actual development finding yourself stressed, overworked, and without the correct toolset to succeed. Along with stocks you'll probably not stay long enough to actually cash in on. TripActions also has a MAJOR issue with diversity. I don't need to touch much on this - just ask for an office tour before you accept an offer and you'll realize this quickly. If you have reservations about this job - your hunch is probably right. They are growing quickly and burning anyone they need to along the way. p.s. If you are interviewing for an AE role - please reach out to AE's who have left recently. They'll have an accurate description of what you'll be walking into.

Terrible, manipulative, & toxic.

Pros

Good benefits, decent amount of travel

Cons

Wildly toxic environment. Leadership disguises treating employees like dirt by phrasing it like “roll with the punches” and “typical startup pains”. There is nothing typical about shuffling/demoting employees once a quarter. Leadership here is AWFUL. And the high turnover is leading to a terrible client experience, so clients are pissed all of the time.

Pros

The product is exciting, industry leading and has potential. The people in the trenches are some of the best people I have worked with.

Cons

CEO and CRO create and lead a toxic culture. C-Suite don’t listen to customers or the people. It’s all about the IPO and making money at the expense of the people, the product and the customers. Preference is given to those who don’t have an opinion and just agree. The environment is unhealthy both physically and mentally and you’re expected to put Tripactions first at all times. Promotions are given without proper advertising and interviewing practices which leads to inequality. Whole company lacks diversity.
