Cons

I can’t speak completely for the company as a whole but I worked at mosquito Joe, a neighborly brand. Working here is an absolute nightmare, especially if you crave creative work. The job description and reality couldn't be further apart - it's all about mind-numbing number crunching, audits, and Excel spreadsheets, with zero trace of marketing. This position is nothing but endless administrative tasks with minimal guidance. You'll be stuck with the grunt work that no one else wants to touch, and it left me walking in every day, feeling like I was perpetually failing, to the point where I noticed my hair falling out due to the overwhelming anxiety. I frequently left the office in tears due to how miserable and useless I felt there. Team members and management seem to magically vanish when you actually need them. They only reach out when they have a bone to pick with you. While they claim it's okay to make mistakes, don't believe it – the second you slip up, they'll shame you for it. I was even publicly humiliated during a team meeting for something that wasn't entirely my fault, and not a single soul stood up for me. Many other team members share the feeling of incompetence and stress due to the lack of guidance in this role. The management here is utterly clueless. They'll dump unrelated tasks on you without any consideration for your job description. Communication is virtually non-existent, and you'll bear the brunt of any miscommunication with the managers. This role is a creativity black hole. If you want to be buried in paperwork, numbers, and Excel, this is your gig. Some team members might be charming and enthusiastic, but the role itself is a total dud, and there's a reason for the constant turnover. Management couldn't care less about addressing program issues, despite franchise owner dissatisfaction and team member concerns. The people who came before me were refused promotions, and this place doesn't promote from within at all. In this toxic environment, they force you to recite company values of respect and integrity before every meeting – a nauseating ritual that only serves to highlight the hypocrisy. These values are nothing but a sham, routinely trampled upon in the daily chaos. The leadership, who should embody these principles, comfortably break them without a second thought. It's a cult-like charade, a hollow attempt to mask the blatant disregard for the very values they claim to uphold. This company's commitment to respect and integrity is nothing but a thin veneer, easily shattered by the reality of their actions and the disappointing way they treat people. I want to be clear that when I speak of management I am referring to middle management here, not the president or ceos. And if all of that weren't enough, the cherry on top was the complete disrespect from management when I left. Despite my attempts to part on good terms, they ignored me and couldn't even muster a simple farewell. This place is a dead end, and they don't care about you one bit. I don’t recommend working here at all.
