Pros

50/50 Sale & Mariposa employee menu.

Cons

Shipping Department had a high turn over rate. HR was dishonest about work schedules, upon hire told new hires schedule would be Monday-Friday. Sales managers & upper management were not helpful, company only cared for the sales associates. Pay sucked for the amount of work I put in, no opportunity for growth. Also, most employees were not friendly unless they needed help with something.

Pros

I had the opportunity to meet and work with lovely people-excluding my own team and manager. I loved the chaos when it came to the events that were hosted. The pay was decent for an optimum support associate. Schedule for an optimum support associate was pretty good, gave me time to have an outside life.

Cons

First things first, the manager and assistant manager of my team were a mess. They piled way too much work on me and I still got paid less than those who sat around and did nothing all day. I was always being pushed to my limit and the work load was unfair. I had 4 departments to support and had to branch off to gift wrap/mark downs whenever my manager needed me to. The structure of the store overall is just flawed. Also, Insurance was just too expensive.

Pros

Great employee discount Outlined on-the-job training manuals Opportunities for career advancement training.

Cons

Non-competitive pay ($10-15k less than competing companies) Long hours - prepare for overtime w/no additional compensation Highly political environment Too many “tenured” managers who lack modern thinking and adaptability Lack of HR dept support (guidance w/ career advancement, ethical issues, etc)
