Pros

Great discount, make your own schedule, paid holidays, 401k matching, plenty of autonomy, company paid phone

Cons

Few opportunities for advancement, upper management is not friendly, commission based pay, little chance to increase salary over the years, pay varies and ability to maximize income is based on your department

Pros

Its a steady paycheck, and a 20% discount on purchases.

Cons

I found that working within the Neiman Marcus environment that you are looked down at if you work at one of the Last Call locations. I have attended regional training seminars and the attitude is clearly divided between the main line stores and the last call. The management level in the Last Call stores is small and therefore everyone knows everyones business meaning NO confidentiality. The sales associates who don't work for commission sales but will cut your head off if you happen to assist someone "Who is someones else's client/customer" the only reward the salespeople receive is a flower arraignment for attaining a certain sales level.
