      Offered Employment then Took Offer Back!!

      Pros

      Everyone I interviewed seemed so lovely and I was honestly very excited and looking forward to starting employment here - all for them to pull out of their offer super last minute!

      Cons

      Totally unprofessional and embarrassing of NMG to offer me unemployment in which I signed, HR reached out to me to confirm I passed background check and equipment will be sent soon - few hours later, HR calls me to let me know they have to resign the offer and deny employment for me. Super disappointed and have a bad taste of NMG now. Do not recommend employment here.

      Pros

      I am lucky and have a great team, department, and manager. I feel like negativity can come from if you do not have a positive work environment. Employee discount is a major perk if you enjoy shopping.

      Cons

      -Store associates I have spoken to say their commission got severely cut during the pandemic (if I recall correctly, it went from 9% to 3% commission) -My merit based raise was barely over 3% which is apparently "on the high end". Barely $100 extra a pay period (pre tax) isn't a whole lot for "doing very well". -Health insurance is VERY expensive. The cheapest bronze tier is about $120 a pay period while other companies the highest gold tier is only $50 a pay period (make it make sense Neiman's).
