Pros

Great discount, make your own schedule, paid holidays, 401k matching, plenty of autonomy, company paid phone

Cons

Few opportunities for advancement, upper management is not friendly, commission based pay, little chance to increase salary over the years, pay varies and ability to maximize income is based on your department

Pros

Product Specialist in Cosmetics and some jewelry lines are the only non commission positions which allow for a complete focus on customer service... this is best if one is very passionate about their line....after learning the dynamics and personalities and territorialism of established sales people to know whom is or is not good to compete with as it can turn into a shark tank in any department.

Cons

Balancing assertiveness in taking sales and collaborating....very long and indefinite time periods to work up within the company.... they seem to hire a lot of people from Nordstrom or other stores at higher ranks as oppose to grooming within.

Pros

Discount on expensive clothing. Learning new fashion trends! Diversity. Performance driven opportunity! Decent pay structure. Work from home option. Advancement steady with politics involved within year and a half!

Cons

If someone does not like you, you will not succeed well. Bare minimum, you will keep your position but only those who kiss up and allow management to belittle he or she will be put in position to get the best opportunities and make the most money. VERY CORPORATE. Tax write off for hiring certain employees.... They expect you to work lots of over time, although, they formally claim that this is not mandatory; just know that you are judged off of your work ethic; it's not a 9-5 40 hour work week job: health, life balance are at risk.
