Pros

-Enjoy unlimited sales opportunities as a fully commissioned client advisor (sales associate). -Client advisors are provided with a work iPhone to manage and grow their client base without using their personal number. -Management and leadership may also contact you directly on your work phone outside of regular business hours. -Benefit from a competitive employee discount: 30% standard, 40% during holidays, and occasional 50% discounts (brand exclusions apply). -Take advantage of exceptional networking opportunities with elite clients and industry professionals.

Cons

-No hybrid options available — role requires working on-site five days a week. -Long shift hours: 9 AM–6 PM, 10 AM–7 PM, or 11:30 AM–8 PM. -Limited inventory due to being the only Neiman Marcus in the state, which can sometimes impact sales opportunities for clients seeking immediate purchases without ordering from other locations. -Mall location, rather than a standalone store, can occasionally attract non-target audiences such as tourists, teenagers, or casual browsers rather than serious shoppers. -There’s limited room for growth unless your ultimate goal is to stay in luxury sales, move into management, or transition into a corporate role within the same industry. The role can feel stagnant at times, as it doesn’t offer opportunities to develop transferable skills—especially in areas like technology. Breaking into corporate positions outside of luxury retail can be difficult, as recruiters often perceive the role as more clerical than strategic, making it challenging to pivot into industries such as tech.
