Pros

Depending on what department and clientele you have it can be lucrative.

Cons

Leadership is terrible, associates are penalized for returns when shipping fails to deliver on time or loses merchandise which greatly affects your pay. Favoritism by friendship is how you're promoted which leads back to leadership not really knowing how to properly lead a team. Contemporary is one of the worst departments to work in. lowest commission highest returns.

Pros

generous employee discount nice customers support for required tech store closes earlier than other retailers

Cons

managers on a power trip not sensitive to employees real life situations low pay disorganization company wide which makes your job harder emphasis on "team work" but pins us against each other to compete inadequate training, and then when a mistake is made treated like a criminal when asking managers for help they will pass you off to a "teammate" minimal vacation time for lower employees. LOTS for management. they would rather fire you and spend months trying to replace you, than let you take a slightly longer vacation. no growth within company for the few that do want to stay no part time positions only praised and favorited for high sales...rules don't apply if you are a high seller managers play favorite

Pros

The 30% discount. That's it.

Cons

Listen, where do I start honestly? I have experienced some of the most disgusting behavior from employees at this company. I think Neiman gets a kick out of hiring anybody who has such poor qualities and poor behaviors, especially in MANAGEMENT. If you want to work for a racist, prejudice, ignorant company, then this is the place for you. It is a borderline circus. Not only do they treat eachother terrible, they treat "back of house" employees like slaves. There is not a speck of teamwork or respect anywhere in this company. HR is nonexistent, absolutely no help even with severe situations. Pay is extremely low for the amount of work and stress that you go through on a daily basis. The sales associates are like spoiled brats who expect you to drop everything that you're doing to deal with them. NOPE. The CEO doesn't care about the company as a whole. They have also handled the whole pandemic situation horribly in so many ways. Stay Away!
