Pros

-30% employee discount and double discount days (up to 60% off) -You're the first to pick through the merchandise when stuff goes on sale

Cons

-Bad scheduling (closing shifts consisted of waiting until customers left aka you could be stuck there until 8:30 or 8:45pm) -$11.50 an hour or $13 (if in cosmetics) $19/$20 (in shoes) -Sales vs draw commission (they fire you if you don't meet your sales goals which are outrageous since retail isn't the same ever since the internet took over) -outdated (think the 80's-early 90's) business model mentality -Turnover rate is HUGE; people come and go all the time and usually last no more than a year

Pros

When there's a manager that has their team's best interest at heart, it can be a good place to work, especially in between career changes, workforce reentry, etc. Discounts can be really good. Discovering great brands

Cons

-Archaic return system-ppl take more than advantage of -Upper management disregards employee feedback -commission/ return compensation is tiring. Creates backbiting and division amongst employees -low employee morale

Pros

set schedule, free food all the time

Cons

lies, benefits, some long nights, managers are lazy, everyone talks about eachother, no one really knows about this store, favoritism, HR sucks!, work hard for nothing, too expensive for what it is and how they treat the clothes/shoes/handbags/etc is crappy and sloppy. always feel like your being watched and Loss Prevention zooms in on your phone.
