Pros

One of the premier luxury retail brands to work for in the US, plus exposure to many other international luxury goods producers. Communicating and coordinating between the creative and buying departments was difficult at times, but in retrospect built character traits that transferred to other jobs.

Cons

Extremely conservative and stuffy environment, very unresponsive HR department.

Pros

There are lots of perks working in luxury retail. We as employees recieve a large discount as well as free clothes and gifts when we hit certin goals.

Cons

The commission rate is very low and people in our economy don't spend money like they used to 5 years ago. If customers return merchindise the commission is reversed from the sales assiocates, even if the merchindise is damaged or altered.
