Pros

Good discount, moderately good health benefits, clean facility, fun people to meet, central location to the metroplex, and good industry contacts

Cons

LP Department at NMD is run like a zoo or a day care. Absolutely no room for advancement in the department. People who have been there for 7 years are still doing the same thing with no chance of moving up because there are no positions to move into. Apply for an investigator job with extreme caution. Job description you apply for is not what you will be doing. You will be demoted on the first day and realize that you are only a Store Call Associate/Glorified Receptionist for LP. Even if an incident occurs where LP has to get involved, you will never even hear about it or if you do, you will be kept in the dark as much as possible while the managers and a couple key people get to do all of the fun stuff. LP Management treats you like a child while you print ID badges, staple little cards onto store call merchandise, or double click on little door symbols on your computer when people need to get in somewhere. If you're lucky, you'll get to catch a few employees on their cell phone and write them up. Management will lie to you at your interview and promise quick promotions, exciting job duties, consistent training, and professional growth and will then forget about you while you earn peanuts for demeaning work.

Pros

Great sample sales, discounts. Relatively flexiable with time off, depends LARGELY on the buyer you work for. Some great people to work with, depending on your area.

Cons

Due to cutbacks, it is an exhausting workload for sub-par money. Pay cuts across all salaried employees plus still rich top exectutives and overworked assitants makes morale very low. Many co-workers are very negative and cut-throat, creating a hostile work enviorment. Just as another reviewer sad, it is not glamourous at all, don't expect to be invited to the fabulous parties NM throws. Paying customers only! You will be in an old, cramped office with two or three other people. Career advancement is very limited. There simply aren't enough positions.
