Pros
The IT team always follows the latest technology tends. Restructured the monolithic J2EE to microservices to reduce time to market and can adopt new technologies easily. The team uses lambda and serverless to save time and money on ops cost. Infrastructure moved to aws and utilized a lot of its services. Agile team with CI/CD devops. Back end is mostly using restful API and some GraphQL API. Used react hooks and tried micro front end at an early stage. Basically say the company's technology is very advanced and you can learn a lot working here.
Cons
IT department had some hard time to keep associates and hires a lot of contractors (i mean like 80% kind of a lot). Most contractors work here for a short amount of time then left, which caused issues for consistence and a lot of the knowledge were lost - so a lot of things need to be done again and again. Also this brings boundaries inside the org since associates and contractors work for different companies.
