Pros

Really smart people, good pay and benefits. Great product which would bring in a lot more revenue if the company did anything to stop piracy. Not a bad place to work, but definitely not the "rocket ship" the recruiters want you to believe it is.

Cons

There's this thing called people-washing happening right now, and it's basically a big campaign to silence any negative voices. They're going all out to drown out the haters by getting featured on Newsweek's Top 100 Places list and even considering legal action to remove critical Glassdoor reviews. They're desperate to stay relevant in the booming AI/LLM industry, but they're at a high risk of being surpassed by vector database startups. Nothing being done to stop software piracy (impossible to compete with if you are in sales). Rumor has it that many coworkers believe the company's new goal is to be acquired, rather than going public through an IPO.

Pros

Stability and good coworkers is a huge plus

Cons

No upward mobility, minimal stock, lack of focus and vision in upper management coupled with a very low chance for IPO

Evolving Category Leader

Pros

_Neo4j is truly the category leader who is building and growing the product category. _The uses of the technology are inspiring. Companies, researchers, journalists, governments and individual developers are solving great problems with graph databases that were slow, challenging, and/or impossible to solve previously. _The company potential is large. If you're knowledgeable of databases, you quickly see the transformative nature of graph databases and how secular trends will benefit the company. Growth potential of a company is often connected to personal career opportunities for employees. _People are warm and collaborative, and majority are genuinely open to and embracing change. Companies that stand still can fail, and people understand this in a productive way to always be improving what we are doing and how we're operating.

Cons

_Communication between teams and onboarding needs to improve. Globally, the company has grown rapidly in the last couple years with a material share working remotely. Ramping up, creating strong working relationships and building effective communication channels is a weakness. There needs to be a greater corporate focus on this. _Time zone differences really suck. There are a lot of teams in the UK and Sweden.
