Neo4-why?

Pros

Untapped market potential in regards to the usage and attainment for GraphDB analytics. I was lucky enough to work with some of the smartest and most driven problem solvers in the industry.

Cons

No one can answer the question on why graph is treated like a commodity for projects when it should be a necessity for operations. The churn rate for the application is untenable. The new VP of Sales is a kindergarten teacher who treats their sales division like unruly kids before nap time.

Pros

Remote work balance, flexable... THATS IT NOTHING ELSE

Cons

Nothing but horrible things with the new management for the SDRs. I don't know why our e-staff decided to green light the new managers and VP that are so un-experienced. They came in and terminated the most senior managers in Boston and Bay Area and it has went so bad. No communication, no direction... New management have been there for 4 months and we have had only 2 team meetings. No mentoring or training. This is a serious sinking ship. All the new managers are all connected from previous jobs and friends outside of the company... Must be nice to hire your friends who have no clue how to run a pre sales team. I wish you ALL the worst. Your management does not deserve to stay here and I hope you sink soon. I would 100% NOT recommend working here. By far the WORST WORST WORST management I have ever had in my career.

Pros

-Fully remote (for NA employees) -Decent benefits

Cons

Unfortunately, have to echo what many others have said before me. I believe that Emil was once earnest when he said that he wanted Neo4j to be your "favorite job ever," but it seems like he has totally lost the plot and has been getting some very bad advice. Neo4j was once a collaborative and dynamic work environment with an exciting and cutting edge product that made us best-in-class. Now, it's pretty clear that Emil is fully floundering and the business and its employees are suffering. -Revolving door of E-Staff. Either being fired or resigning at an alarming pace, resulting in inconsistent expectations, fear, and uncertainty. How can they have faith and buy-in to the mission of the company if leadership is a revolving door of new faces? -The interim CPO has single-handedly torpedoed morale. She was originally hired under the old CPO as VP of People Strategy but was named interim CPO after Kristin left. Starting on day one she made it her mission to undermine and dismantle any and all efforts, even those that fall far outside of her scope. She has led with fear and has ruthlessly pursued any cost-cutting measures, including unnecessary RIFs that have only been targeted at NA employees, leaving the EMEA people team entirely in tact, and eliminated most learning and engagement programs. She was brought on in the London office, apparently as a "strategic business decision" to bridge the gap between NA and EMEA but so far she has cultivated an culture of divisiveness which has resulted in about 80% of the people team leaving in a span of three months. Not to mention, she has made disparaging remarks about pregnant women. Trust me when I say this is not the place to plant roots. Even if you don't heed my advice about the toxic culture, this company rarely hits their targets, and as of 2024 has yet to turn a profit. This company is a sinking ship with a floundering and fickle CEO with a toxic CPO whispering in his ear.
