      Pros

      At Neo4j there is a very open and including company culture, and I've always felt very welcome. Tech wise the graph database world is full of interesting problems, and Neo4j employs all modern development practices in tackling them.

      Cons

      At times I've felt that pitching suggestions for features and product improvements was hard, and it was hard to know who to turn to, and what mandate they had to make something reality.

      Pros

      I learn from my colleagues constantly, and for the most part, we hire super smart people who embody our culture and values. I get to work on technology that makes a meaningful, positive impact on the world. I have a strong sense of ownership and have earned the trust to make key decisions.

      Cons

      The company is growing fast, and at times processes and internal communications struggle to keep up. However, I can't say this is unique to Neo4j and this has been a common problem at other startups I have worked for. There are many initiatives to address outgrown processes. Preserving our culture is clearly a priority.

I agree that we still have work to do when it comes to our processes and comms keeping up with the pace with which we are growing! I think you'll see a lot of positive changes coming in the next few months, and over the course of the next year.
