Pros

Direct, but kind: The organization embraces disagreement as a critical element of building new products. When someone disagrees, we listen. When you make a suboptimal decision, people will tell you. This is very much a personal preference, but I have found this aspect of the culture to be a breath of fresh air in a broader west coast tech culture that values politeness and passive cues over discourse. A sense of ownership: your job isn't to solve for a narrow intersection of the business, your job is to think holistically about what is best for the user and the business in the long term.

Cons

The demands of start up life remain in full effect: you're going to work hard.
