Pros
I had my own office and they would bring in bagels/pastries once a week for the staff.
Cons
My boss’s version of “training” was very confusing and sometimes contradictory. They often had me shadow people in my department who didn’t know that I would be shadowing them until I told them and didn’t know what they were supposed to be teaching me. When I was learning one-on-one from my boss, they would often get distracted by other things since they ran a second department. The half an hour lunch break was too short.
