Pros

Steep learning curve - You will get into programming starting from basic level and ending up in advanced. Big variety - There is a big variety to chose what you like to do and learn that technology. Professional training - The training includes business and technical perspective. Friendly environment - Everybody gets along and is very sociable, company organizes events from time to time.

Cons

12 week training period - We only receive 400 pounds per month for accommodation expenses. Flexibility - You don't have any power to choose which city you want to work in, you have to be prepared to travel anywhere the company needs you.

Pros

NETbuilder provided a great opportunity for me. I came from a computer science background but was lacking the relevant experience to work in senior roles within the industry as there was no concrete proof of my previous experience and this was difficult to back-up in interviews. NETbuilder provided me with extensive training in both technologies that I already had experience with and new technologies that I was learning for the first time. After the training period was complete I was given the option to take technical exams and become accredited in these technologies (all of which NETbuilder paid for as part of the training). It should also be noted that it is VERY rare for an IT company such as this to PAY people while they are being trained - which is an excellent benefit. Shortly after this I attended an interview at a well known global digital marketing agency company in London which was arranged by NETbuilder. This was one of the easiest interviews I have ever been to in my life! as the company had already been briefed on my skills and capabilities. Since working on the client side in London I already have been promoted to higher and higher roles within the company. The support that NETBuilder gives to both new gateway consultants and existing consultants is great and the whole business operates like a close knit family organisation. In short - NETbuilder provides graduates with a great opportunity. They are willing to take graduates straight out of university and ensure that they are trained to the best of their abilities before exposing them to the industry. If you put the time, effort and drive for success into this company then you will be recognized by the management and rewarded in due course.

Cons

Nothing that is particularly bad

Pros

Since working for NETbuilder, I have managed to build and work for an impressive and comprehensive spread of companies. In just over two years I have managed to work on projects for governments and major financial institutions. For me the key was the recognition that the management team gave to members of staff that pushed themselves, resulting in them rising rapidly within the company. The people that didn't have the ability didn't last long. This was a great start to my career, my time as a gateway consultant resulted in receiving multiple job offers. Ultimately I opted to take a senior management role within NETbuilder in the hope that my career will carry on with the same momentum.

Cons

The offices are not the best, little natural light, however once training is completed most of the work of the placements are off site and some of the buildings make me quite jealous I will not be working there instead. Since taking on my role as consulting manager, we have swapped over the training to rooms with more natural light. The training was hard as it is a mixture of classroom and self-learning and that isn't for everyone, taking the initiative was key. It is a steep learning curve, but nobody who has managed to complete the two years has regretted where it has got them to.
