Pros

Better work-life balance. Chances of Onsite trips for jr or mid level employees. Mix roles - few projects offer frees hand to local teams whereas few do micro management. Few projects are on modern technology so good exposure, Initially in my tenure, many things were unclear, unorganized but towards end there was some serious efforts by top management to change things and give direction to offices in India. Saw couple of senior managers visiting pune who are spending time with people instead of seating in cabins and putting Do-not disturb board. Local management is getting more involved and accessible. They seems be given some level of free hand, could saw improvements during my closing days. Team members are getting exposed to higher management for better roles. There are good people in office who put efforts from their side to improve and bring more projects. Few delivery projects which has larger presence and critical roles from pune. So it provides opportunity to understand end-to-end picture quickly. There are few guys who play role of Architect, BA or TM and really knows the domain. Those should be your go to guys. Free Transport facility. Startup culture to extend**

Cons

Mid level company so dynamic demand cycles. Other workforce in Russian federation so there are language and communication issues. Not every PM or Leads knows how to work with multi location teams and leverage their strengths. You will be lucky if you have local leadership on projects. Involvement of new members in project level decisions is challenge - you need to prove yourself at every stage. Beware of few nonsense guys in local office - There are many good people in Pune office but there are few bad, stinky onions in office who cant find suitable buyer outside. Better will be to to stay away from these specific guys. They will talk rubbish just to show their presence or seek attention. These are mostly few experienced guys who think they know everything, who stand on sides and criticize others action. They can talk negative on every activity. If you happened to be working with them or under their leadership then you will wonder if these guys are on notice period (but you will not be lucky, you will saw them next quarter as well). There are few teams, don't know if they do actual deliveries but their manager just talk high on anything. One my lead used to try copying(read inspire)that person and used to talk very vague without details. Information sharing challenges - due to multi-culture teams there are obvious team connect issues, on top few local guys who also don't believe in it, They themselves dont know subject or answers but they will object or refrain you from speaking with others. On same lines, few TL or LM's are unable to understand use of training and don't guide or recommend their subordinates for training sessions. You will come to know about such sessions later from colleagues in other department. Few experienced guys hired initially dont have depth of knowledge and dont want to recognize their shortfall. They will not learn and had been roadblock for others. Wrong feedback for these guys normally generalized at location or India level by Global Managers. Policies are evolving, no match to Services company on this part.
