While the majority of our historical back-end code is in Perl, we are rapidly investing in other languages, such as Go. These days, many of our teams write little to no Perl, with it being less than 20% of all code written. We're constantly experimenting with new technologies and ways of working - exploration is in our DNA. And many experiments and hackathon projects make their way into production. We don't want any of our staff to feel they don't have an opportunity to work with moderns tools or lack the opportunity to try new things. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I recognise a lot of what you have written in your review myself. We take great care to hire brilliant people, which goes beyond their technical competence, and includes behaviours such as their ability to work with others and definitely a willingness to share knowledge and help those around them to grow. We also put a lot of time and thought into our benefits and socials so its nice to see those recognised by you here too. You're right about the Australian business and work to integrate our APAC business and colleagues is ongoing and we continue to see improvements month to month. Gender diversity in engineering is a challenge for all tech businesses, but one which we are trying to tackle head on. We are widening our talent pool this year for our student/intern campaigns by visiting an increasing number of campuses, we are ensuring a female presence at career events wherever possible (from our technical roles) and we ensure all our job adverts are using gender neutral language prior to publishing. We are also supporting events such as CyberFirst Girls Competition. There is no doubt that it will take time to see meaningful change but we are fully committed to this challenge. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're careful to only hire great people and we think very carefully about how we support our employees with benefits that work for them - our free food in all our offices being just one example. We also value the variety and importance of the work we do in protecting the world from cybercrime. I'm sorry to read that your views about our leadership, although it isn't clear if you mean at your local level or through the Executive leadership team. I encourage you to share your views in more detail by speaking to your local leadership team, by participating in our employee engagement surveys or contacting a member of the People Team [peopleteam@netcraft.com]
