Pros
Core benefits are good. The product is great and will carry this company far. The new HR VP provides hope of getting everything on track. If they listen to her.
Cons
It does not matter how good you are if you are not a favorite. You will be overlooked and not appreciated even when you outperform. This company is run by the CEO and CTO, two very smart engineers who know engineering and it stops there. The CTO seems to enjoy doing everything except the engineering the work he knows. They are both operating outside their span of knowledge. The CEO excels at hiring his connections who are not qualified for the job they are given. While there are people with greater knowledge, he chooses to listen to the unqualified connections he hired not the people with the obvious superior experience. You are on the fast track for promotions as long as you are close to the CEO. He likes appeasing those that squeak rather than those that produce. They focus on hiring where it is cheapest no the people who are the most productive. But they did open an office in SF which sits empty, a good waste of money.
