Pros

-They leave you alone, very little micromanagement (this is truly rare and a godsend) -The interview process was wonderful and didn't make me feel like I was being pitched an MLM scam (this is also quite typical in IT, and anyone that lives on the eastern side of PA and has been headhunted by Shock IT or many of the other local MSP's knows my pain) -Insurance and benefits are decent, if a little pricey -Quite a lot of leeway given on personal days so far -For the most part, treat you like a human being that has some knowledge a lot of people don't have, but probably should -seriously, my first job with an MSP, they were hiring anyone they could convince to work for minimum wage off the street, my second MSP job I found out too late that they were a church/cult that happened to run an MSP, the ones that I interviewed with last year made me feel like what I imagine a woman at a bar near a pickup artist convention must feel like aka thoroughly violated...if you're going to work for an MSP, this is the one.

Cons

-weird pay structure: They pay bi-monthly (15th and 31st) instead of the way everyone else does, which leads to late fees on rent and needing to do an unnecessary amount of budgeting. There's seriously no need to pay an employee making any less than 200k in anything but Weekly or Bi-Weekly increments. I refuse to listen to any sort of arguments against my logic. -They have a points based recognition system for going above and beyond, instead of cash-based performance bonuses. These points can then be redeemed for gift cards. The scaling for the points is awful, 100 points doesn't even get you a $25 gift card in anything. If you like what I'm doing for the client, then just give me money, points are for Redditors, cash can be redeemed for goods and services. -Training opportunities could be significantly better. While the portal they offer is nice, the stuff a Desktop Support/IT generalist probably needs is all prohibitively paywalled, so it would be nice if instead of merely being compensated for training we do on our own time, that we are offered training options for all the CompTIA/Cisco/Microsoft we need to develop and ways to not have to pay for vouchers.
