Pros

- Great Pension - Strong Union - Workloads not ridiculous - Very little working late - Good benefits - Fantastic Mental Health Support

Cons

- Slow to respond - Very reactive business - One of the most frustrating C&P Departments in existence - Spent 8 months trying to procure £5k worth of software, but if I wanted ten Contractors @ 550/day, it would have been signed off by the end of the day - Bureaucracy everywhere. It's crazy. Need to hire? Six week process. Need software? Six month process. Need new roles? 12 month process. - Constantly at the whim of govt and the press, meaning often hiring freezes and 'restructures'
