Pros

Under the right manager you can get opportunities to develop and grow throughout your career. Network Rail is keen to deliver the best for its customers and employees. Varied work with a lot of support towards work life balance. Great benefits such as Gympass which offers massive discounts on local gyms.

Cons

So many departments within the organisation with opposing agendas. Due to the demand of highly skilled frontline staff it becomes difficult to recruit and often vacancies are open for long periods of time.

Thank you so much for your review.I just wanted to share a post on our Gender Pay Gap report:https://www.networkrail.co.uk/who-we-are/diversity-and-inclusion/gender-pay-gap-report/Our gender pay gap may fluctuate over time as we address the gender balance of the workforce and focus on increasing the number of women in our organisation. We aim to improve our retention rates and invest more in supporting and progressing our female employees so that they can compete successfully for our most senior roles. We are working hard to build greater equality within the organisation and so thank you for your comments as this says there is definitely more to do. Please do contact our Diversity and Inclusion team as they will also be able to provide more detailed insights into our programmes including 20by20 which is working to bring greater gender equality.

Pros

Nice offices, good pay, good holiday, good pension

Cons

Rubbish management stems right from the top through to the lower management. Dreadful senior leadership team. Morale terrible, avoid AIS department and you'll do great at Network Rail. Bullying is also common place in the company if your face doesn't fit. Speaking up and challenging is frowned upon as the management think they are superior.
