      Pros

      Routine commuting, slow moving environment

      Cons

      Inefficiencies all over, substandard management, mixture of contractors with permanent staff influencing in all directions (both office jobs and site jobs), can never get anything done, massive inefficiencies and money lost due to those, lack of care for welfare, they’re creating work to justify their existence whilst fundamental work doesn’t get done due to incompetency. See Crossrail in the media, massively delayed and in need for additional £2B. HR cases mishandled, politicised sickening environment. Grievances hid under carpet, bullying culture if you stand up.

      Variety of departments to move from and variety of cities to go to. Good pay

      It all depends on your line manager. Your career can be enjoyable or it can be not. Long hours sometimes
