Pros

Company with admirable principles, generous terms and conditions.

Cons

Where do I start? IT is abysmal very frustrating when it takes an hour every morning to get the IT working, and five people have to share two LAN ports. Buerocracy is terrible, no such thing as a one stop shop with NR! As a middle manager I dread someone leaving, it take a signaller 28 days to leave and takes us 6 months to replace due to the process; Complete oracle recruitment form - up to two weeks later recruitment processing get back to you to ask requirements, this then has to be approved by HR business partner, GM and RD (this recently took another 2 weeks) Job is then advertised for 2 weeks, recruitment processing takes approx 1 week to sift, forwards to assessment stage this recently took 3 weeks to arrange, on to GBS interviews another 2 weeks, interview up to 3 weeks later, sedn details of who wanted to recruitment processing, new hire, HRBP, GBS interviews and HRSS, wait 3 weeks for medicals (Recently 1 of 3 failed medical restart process), then try and get signalling school places for three taken on in July, I have one place in September, possibly 1 in November and possibly 1 in March, yes March!!!!! In all this time I have to somehow cover 3 vacancies (out of 4 positions in signal box) and keep that box open 24 hours, currently this being achieved by myself and my OM covering and doing our day jobs, currently I am working approx 100+ hours a week. If I don't boxes shut and trains stop. Help none!
