Pros

Good compensation PTO accumulation good after 5 years Transportation to worksites Company 401K match and HSA input Can learn new skills quickly and put them to use immediately Can see multiple working sites and mines (OP and UG) within one organization

Cons

Travel times to site can be up to 2 hours one way High turnover means people can be easily burnt out with extra responsibilities Annual bonus is based on total district and company performance, not mine
