Pros

They offer a competitive salary, and I have not dealt with any toxicity or micromanagement. I am welcomed in the department to do service. My colleagues and boss respect me. I love the students; you get a diverse mix of ages, interests, races, and income levels. They are all really dedicated to their education and excited to learn.

Cons

I have had to fight to keep my job. I got verbal confirmation that I would have a contract extended, and it disappeared from under me. My department spent three months arguing for my position while I scrambled to find a job in May. When I did see the contract, the course load increased. The Global Campus does not have a great working relationship with on-campus departments.
