New Relic has never had good leadership. But things are the worst they have ever been. There has been yet another round of layoffs. Things are in constant chaos. I have reported to 4 different managers in 3 months. The term "company culture" has not been used in nearly a year. Budgets are being slashed everywhere. Leadership does not understand the product or the market, is openly dishonest, and will refuse to even commit to goals. Despite surviving the layoffs, my team doesn't even have anything to work on and management doesn't notice or care. As stated in a recent town hall, their goal is to move 70% of the work to India. The director literally asked if "anyone can step up and be a hero." We're doing nothing to develop a competitive advantage. The company's only reason for existence at this point is to get acquired.
