* Decent pay. * Several smart people still working there.

Cons

* Poor product strategy that failed to address immediate market competition. * An "engineers must work harder (longer hours) to fix leadership's mistakes" attitude. * Culture and values have been almost completely abandoned. * Laying off hundreds of people annually. * Clearly on the road to acquisition. I worked at New Relic for 6 years and absolutely loved the first five years -- best job I ever had. Then I quit when I started to see early signs of these issues with bad responses from leadership. I'm so glad that I got out before they started laying off people in droves and treating the remaining employees like replaceable cogs.

This is the only company I have worked at or have interviewed with, in my career that has a clear strategy on diversity recruitment. And to top it off is actually works very well (hint, it's not based on saying we like diversity, although we very much do) ... Results-oriented culture, NOT activities-oriented. Clear performance feedback in Connect reviews. Lots of interaction with executive-level leadership on company direction and plan... Genuine empathy from my leadership (my executive leadership knows whats going on in my life, not because they pry but because they are present)

Cons

New Relic is disrupting its self. The direction is clear but the work is tough and it's not for everyone.
