Pros

Good work-life balance. Good salary. Great benefits. Work is always challenging. Career review & promotion chances every 6 months. Possibility to learn with one of the top software stacks in the world.

Cons

Their great culture sometimes bring too many distractions that are not related with computer science: frequent talks about inclusion, events about supporting causes, etc... I respect all of you but just let me code, please!

Pros

Good pay (at least for PDX), fun and challenging work, great colleagues who are intelligent and care about their work, a CEO who is brilliant and passionate and who, I still believe, can navigate New Relic through recent struggles.

Cons

New Relic is going through a tough time. We've been consistently losing significant marketshare to our competitors for the last year and it seems to be causing leadership to fray at the seams. We've replaced several members of our leadership team with new people who lack accountability. We've recently had mass layoffs as well as a push from leadership to work longer hours ("for now"). Leadership claims to be sensitive to our struggles in this COVID-19 world, but their actions demonstrate a lack of real empathy. New Relic's refusal to take a strong stance against doing business with evil entities like ICE is also a departure from our historic cultural values.

Pros

Free snacks, Flexible FTO, Good initial pay, coworkers are amazing

Cons

Retaliation firing is common, layoffs, workload has increased exponentially in complexity and volume from 3 years ago, but they’ve decreased the busiest team’s sizes, executive leadership refuses to listen to employee concerns about layoffs and burnout, support is not remote although Product is, brain drain from senior engineers leaving, support has shifted from a junior engineer model to a call center model, lack of upward mobility, lack of diversity including POC, lack of training
