Pros

- Great colleagues, a great place to meet different types of creatives - Good benefits, decent pay

Cons

- No room to learn beyond the tasks you are given - Very little room for creativity or growth as the top editors will often override all work you have done in order to get their “thumbprint” on it. - Editors with sexual harassment cases (past and present) they will still keep them and pay them top dollar - Managers often will pretend like they have more to offer you as a way to try and keep you from jumping ship - Some top managing editors often have a delusional sense of power. Do not stay longer than a year, RUN. - Many editors are extremely lazy, have everyone else do the work for them. They are due for a solid round of layoffs as some employees are making $250,000-500,000 to sit in an office and put a check mark on pages - There is a dark underbelly of this company, almost anyone you speak to has something to say about the management - Print is down and making no money but digital is doing well

Pros

The hours and most of the people were great.

Cons

There were a few people who thought of who they were and they weren't even that great. They were super unkind and not willing to share or teach their best practices.

Pros

Overall the people are nice and the pay is decent but there is not much more to be thankful for here.

Cons

In a world where there are new and innovative companies to work for, I am baffled why anyone in sales would choose to work here. The company is completely old school with people running the show with no understanding of how to build a digital organization. There are no impressive minds that work here and a complete lack of intelligent people to learn from. The executive leadership team has no concept or experience to draw from in order to save this organization from being a failing newspaper to a world class digital company. Look elsewhere to grow your career in sales. Work for fantastic bosses who will help you improve your skills. This is not the place for anyone.
