Pros

The Post gives you great exposure, but for writers, it doesn't do much to improve your craft unless you want to end up writing 300-word breaking news stories the rest of your life.

Cons

Direction is scattered and contradictory. There seem to be unseen tabus that dictate what stories get covered and what doesn't. It's hard to read the editors' minds. The culture is very abusive, which makes it hard to be motivated. That, in turn, is deadly to your career
