      Pros

      Sometimes there's not a ton of oversight which gives you the freedom to do what you need and how you need.

      Cons

      They might hire you as a freelancer and work you 40 hour weeks but there will be no benefits. They can also cut your wage whenever they want. The quality of your work doesn't matter so they don't care how to get the best work out of you. Upper management doesn't care. They will find every way to pinch pennies. They have no interest in growing anymore. This is a stagnant place to work.
