Pros

Competitive Salary. Some hires within the company are truly talented and came from pretty established companies. Though, most leave within 6 months (typical trend within company) due to bad upper management and outdated company policies.

Cons

Stone age/outdated company policies. Extremely high turnover. As soon as someone leaves, be prepared to take over or share that person's job. No questions asked and no increase in your salary/incentives. As a director, you would expect a certain level of respect or professionalism from the C-suite. But, no. Certain promises and offers were also made at the start of my employment and never came to fruition. Be cautious with the C-suite because they function on pure emotion and the traditional ways of work. They have no concept of efficiency and productivity of the 21st century. They are fine with using Excel for everything. Expect to be in the office 100% of the time , no flexibility to work from home. Masks? Forget it - doesn't apply to upper management, only people who care about the spread follow.

Pros

Known e-commerce site, great for the resume Can be a good place to break into e-commerce management

Cons

Favoritism, nepotism run rampant "Yes-man" culture, new or innovative ideas are not as well-accepted as you'd think Fragmented internal structure, compartmentalism is stifling with little to no guidance on who to contact and how to receive support Advancement is difficult - positions that open up are sometimes not backfilled, new positions are typically staffed by external candidates Disciplinary measures and even dismissal have been used as threats during COVID to prevent employees from working from home when their jobs could have easily been managed remotely
