Pros

Central location on PAS. Subway pass provided. Very casual work environment.

Cons

Think of the worst part of HS cliques, coupled with the entitlements of frat/sorority boys and girls who equate to being pseudo-hipsters. Sprinkle in a healthy dose of, "we're greater and cooler than you, much cooler."..... and that is the Newscred culture. Only great in their own insular world.

Pros

Awesome product. Probably the best content marketing technology out there. Great perks and talented people.

Cons

They outsource most of the work to Bangladesh. Hires people when there is work. Lets them go when there is no work.

Pros

I love working at NewsCred - from early days hustling for every dollar to growing into a respectable company, it's been a fun journey. It hasn't been easy and at times has required sacrifice from every single employee, but for those who are willing to pitch in on anything in the face of some uncertainty, it's been a rewarding journey. Management truly cares (our CEO is one of the coolest in the business and is always available to talk), people who work hard and bring valuable perspectives to the table are rewarded (both monetary and with recognition) and the vast majority of the team is excited by the mission and sees NewsCred as a deep part of their lives. Great snacks, cool office, plenty of flexibility to work remotely, level-headed and experienced management team, absolutely best in class product that brings real client value with a tremendous opportunity to build a huge company. It's a great place to be.

Cons

It's a total start-up cliche, but you have to be comfortable with uncertainty and chaos at times. People here work hard - if you aren't happy to pitch in and put in longer hours when needed, you might not enjoy the experience. Plenty of work life balance (e.x. vacations are pretty healthily encouraged) but you're expected to be available most of the time when you're on and chip in like crazy when necessary. Until recently, career development was not a priority - it was left by the side as we focused on growth, which caused some real issues unless you were the type to advocate for yourself. Recent addition of HR and a renewed focus on this area has really changed this.
