Pros

Like all newspapers, Newsday has had to make a tough transition as the print readers are aging and it's tough to convince online readers to pay for something they once got for free. Those giant problems aside, lol, there is a plethora of quality local journalism in Newsday that benefits the community. Editors listen to ideas and initiative is generally rewarded.

Cons

Many copy editors are still in a print mindset. Reporters can rush to get a story in and then it sits. Some departments are still organized giving the priority to the print product, which is ridiculous in this day and age.
