Pros

Nextdoor fosters a culture where kind people come together to work towards a common mission. Inclusivity and camaraderie are deeply valued, resulting in a pleasant work environment. Additionally, the work carried out at Nextdoor directly impacts neighborhoods and fosters local communities, making it incredibly rewarding. I have enjoyed working here and continue to enjoy it everyday!

Cons

Communication between teams and leaders at Nextdoor could use some work. Communication can sometimes be disjointed, impacting overall efficiency. Implementing clearer lines of communication and enhancing information sharing would help address this issue.

Engineers are measured on the number of PRs they put out (I wish I was joking) Managers micromanage even their most senior engineers and push them to release things before they are ready Everything is siloed Product is even more dysfunctional than engineering
