Pros

Nextdoor has always had a ton of potential and we've started to really create value for neighbors and local businesses on the platform. It helps that we've added a number of key leaders to technical and GTM teams. There's a lot to figure out, but I've never been more excited about the company's future. - High caliber teams - Strong, senior leadership - Deeply empathetic coworkers - Lots of freedom and flexibility

Cons

We spend a lot of time planning and reviewing, and we could use more of the build and create.

Race Against Morale

Pros

- Kind people - Decent benefits

Cons

I’ll start by saying that the other reviews are true. The kind people you’ll encounter working here is the best part but it stops there. Raises/promotions are hard to come by and when you do finally meet the requirements for a promotion the goalposts will likely move. Upper management has been utterly tone deaf when it comes to acknowledging the in market feedback we receive on a daily basis and will instead try to squeeze employees for every last ounce of effort to overcome challenges that are out of our hands to meet goals that often times feels unrealistic. There are constant changes with leadership and our product isn’t developing fast enough to keep up with very aggressive goals yet we’re constantly being told to work harder in all of our bloated internal meetings. There’s low morale across the board and talented people are slowly but surely leaving the company for other opportunities. The work life balance was good to start, but has been trending in the wrong direction lately on top of the mandatory but vague return to office “test.” There is long term potential, but the short and mid term will be extremely painful with no guarantees that things will get better.

Love everyone on the team, and there are a lot of areas to work on and be able to make an impact.

Cons

None at the moment, and I am proud to work at Nextdoor!
