Pros

- Lots of improvements to be made, so you can ship a lot - Some smart people are still left around so you can do fun work with them

Cons

- Leadership doesn't care for their employees and makes decisions that does not help the long term of the company - Lack of direction for the product - Morale of employees is hitting all time low and causing lots of doubts

Race Against Morale

Pros

- Kind people - Decent benefits

Cons

I’ll start by saying that the other reviews are true. The kind people you’ll encounter working here is the best part but it stops there. Raises/promotions are hard to come by and when you do finally meet the requirements for a promotion the goalposts will likely move. Upper management has been utterly tone deaf when it comes to acknowledging the in market feedback we receive on a daily basis and will instead try to squeeze employees for every last ounce of effort to overcome challenges that are out of our hands to meet goals that often times feels unrealistic. There are constant changes with leadership and our product isn’t developing fast enough to keep up with very aggressive goals yet we’re constantly being told to work harder in all of our bloated internal meetings. There’s low morale across the board and talented people are slowly but surely leaving the company for other opportunities. The work life balance was good to start, but has been trending in the wrong direction lately on top of the mandatory but vague return to office “test.” There is long term potential, but the short and mid term will be extremely painful with no guarantees that things will get better.

Damaged trust & not as remote friendly as advertised

Pros

Many good people working here, trying to make the product and company better. I like the vast majority of my peers and my team. Some teams are set up to be successful and effective.

Cons

Beware of "remote" listings if you're close to an office. Mandatory work from office on Wednesdays, and Tues-Thurs during monthly traffic weeks if you're near an office, which was announced right before a few layoffs, and is being very closely monitored as part of a 6mo "experiment." Done without data to back up the claims that it's "better", and without defined success measures to explain what the goals of the experiment are. Wouldn't be surprised if after the experiment, we'll see more required in-office days, even if it's universally disliked. Seems like a great way to get people to leave while avoiding more layoffs. Enjoy losing productivity time because you're stuck talking to someone about the weather or playing "morning bingo." While you're at it, be sure to work harder than ever, which we hear during almost every weekly all hands meeting, doing your job + the work of those who left but didn't get backfilled. Pay is not competitive, raises are laughable. The stock is worthless. Employees do not trust the C-Suite or upper management. We repeat the same product mistakes over and over without learning anything, and our priorities are in the wrong place.
