Pros

A few cool people and stand up desks.

Cons

Maybe different groups are different. What was discussed and described in the interview did not describe the job and it wasn’t due to not asking detailed questions in the interview. Maybe the hope was the job would become what was described but that never happened. This seemed to be a common theme in the group because two other devs were hired for specific skills that were not used. This may be due to new technologies being implemented via hackathons. There doesn’t seem to be an IT architect group that actually is driving technology. So it doesn’t appear that there is actually any planning. They just have hackathons to determine what new products and features will be introduced. Then 2 weeks later the hackathon results are rolled into production. So all the new tech is a result of hackathons and the core product is an obsolete tech client server app. They try to bring in new people with promise of great tech and then they end up supporting 15 year old software and the results of hackathons. Core tech is old / obsolete. Integration with core tech is again obsolete. Products are dependent upon many teams and the integration testing is virtually impossible to preform. Most people were cool but some of the most arrogant people I’ve ever met.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and we are sorry to hear that your experience was not a positive one. Although some of our technology has been around since founding Nextech, we do have products with market leading technology as well, and are excited to be a finalist for TBTF’s “2020 Project of the Year” for our work on the Telehealth feature that was a result of this year’s unique Hackathon. We do appreciate your feedback and will do our best to improve communication with our new hires in the future. If you have any further insight to share or suggestions on how we can improve, we invite you to reach out to us at talentfeedback@nextech.com for a conversation.
