We appreciate your feedback, both positive and negative. We prioritize caring for our employees via our benefits, pay, safety procedures, internal promotions, and training offerings. This is a highly competitive and demanding industry and we have high expectations for all of our employees to remain dedicated and work hard. We aim to help everyone achieve their highest potential. That said, we do understand mistakes happen and have incorporated both formal and informal training to work on continuing to educate and improve our employees and our company as a whole.

Pros

6 days off after 14 days on. Benefits are pretty good. 10 days vacation. Dispatch does a good job of keeping the place from falling apart.

Cons

There are so many con's that I'm not quite sure where to start. Management is a start. There are so many managers and assistant managers that when you have to answer a question prepare to say it at least 15 times. All of the managers are part of the "good ol' boy" club, so most of the time no one is actually working, so just know that you have zero chance. They have lost so many great engineers and operators due to mismanagement and general lack of respect for their workers that Nine Energy is forced to promote people into positions that they have no business being in. That is so obvious to customers in the field due to lack of quality production that they are losing work. It's only a matter of time before the doors are locked on the Washington shop. The inexperienced and unqualified "engineers" working in that place are bound to hurt someone.

Thank you for your review. We can assure you that all of our managers and assistant managers have multiple responsibilities and are always working hard. Additionally, we employ managers that are male and female, including our CEO, Ann Fox. Our learning management system ensures our employees can grow within of the company, and we offer training courses throughout the company to support our workers and help them achieve their full potential. We also have great respect for all of our employees, regardless of their title or role, and show this through consistent efforts to increase benefits packages and by investing in our people via training and promotion from within.

Pros

Great benefits, great pay, lots of opportunity to expand knowledge and skills. In a good year a green new hire can make $100K. 7-10 consecutive days off per month. Great opportunity for single and young people.

Cons

Long hours, 70-80 or more per week is not unusual, often out of town and it IS the oilfield. Round the clock outdoor operations. Expect to be filthy and greasy at times. Have a strong back- the tools are very heavy. Don't get involved if you don't have thick skin and know how to CYA. This work is not for sissies or snowflakes

We appreciate the candor of your experience with us and are glad to read that you valued our pay, benefits, opportunities and scheduling. As you mentioned, the oil and gas industry is a tough place to work in the field. We employ workers who can meet these challenges and take care of our employees accordingly, appreciating all of their hard work.
