Pros

I work in an admin role and the work is enjoyable, challenging but not over the top hard. The rest of the employees are really nice and were very welcoming. I like the hours and the atmosphere.

Cons

My only complaint is they play some types of music that I don't like (electronic and dance).

Pros

If you are money driven how I used to be, you'll have a great opportunity to profit but only as an office director. The rest of your staff will pretty much pull in minimum wage at $7.25 while working 5-6 days a week 9-10 hour days.

Cons

The company does not actually provide the services to the degree they claim and they overwork employees with little compensation. Bullying and intimidation tactics are used in lieu of actual constructive management. The worst part is the dishonesty. When upper management lie to each other daily and secretly record conversations to get each other fired, it's naive to believe anything that comes from anyone. Many weeks they struggle to make payroll and in turn put the pressure on ODs to produce. Staff retention is nearly impossible and it's due to upper management not actually valuing the employees. The talent are even worse off. They're baited in by posts on Facebook. They think they're coming in to audition for the new hot film in production but it's really to get them to sign on as a talent and invest in Nine9's sub par comp cards and headshots. Some office directors will work to get their talent opportunities despite the company's intentions but definitely not all. The photographers I had the pleasure of working with were all the real deal but only because they're chosen by the office director in their specific market.

Hello, We're sorry to see a negative review from a former employee and if this was your perception of Nine9, then we, unfortunately, let you down. It sounds like from your review that you worked as a Talent Specialist which can be a very fast-paced job. Since your employment with us, we're proud to say that we have worked hard to offer additional bonuses and incentives for all of our employees. Each week our management team meets with our staff to discuss opportunities for our company to improve and we take action on them to be the best organization possible. Any issues you may have experienced with our management team in the past have been removed from our organization completely, although the situation you're speaking of doesn't seem to be anything that had taken place with anyone still in employ with this company. We're very happy with the team we have in place nationwide. I'd also like to point out that any ads we run on social media are in fact for roles we are submitting our talent for. Facebook along with the other social media sites have very specific guidelines as to what we're allowed to advertise so we do our best to make sure the ads are as clear as possible. We've also taken time to improve our comp cards and headshots for our talent and will continue to work with some of the best photographers in the industry. We never want to part on bad terms with an employee but it can be difficult when you don't see eye to eye on every aspect of an organization. We'd like you to know that despite you not leaving any advice to management in your review, we do take what you've written very seriously. Nine9 will remain an adaptive, innovative company that strives to create the best workplace possible for our employees and our talent. Please email me at jeremy.smith@nine9.com if you have any feedback you feel our CEO or other leaders must know about. I'm more than happy to deliver it directly to them and make sure that feedback is used to make Nine9 even better. Best of luck in your current endeavors!
